ABOUT UNC CHARLOTTE SPORTS MBA ASSOCIATION
2009 at the Rocky River Golf Club in Concord, NC.
The tournament is a partnership between the Sports MBA Association and Victory Junction that
will involve local businesses and individuals in friendly competition to help support Victory Junction. All proceeds from the tournament will be used to fund children who otherwise would not be able to attend normal summer camps due to their unique medical needs. Victory Junction’s year-round camp serves children ages 6 to 16 who have a variety of health issues. Due to the generosity of corporations, organizations and individuals, no child or family has to incur the cost of attending Victory Junction.

“We are extremely excited to have the support of the Sports MBA Association,” said Dean Kessel, President at Victory Junction. “We hope this is an event that will continue and grow each year.”
The UNC Charlotte Sports MBA Association Golf Tournament will solicit local companies for sponsorship and participation at the Rocky River Golf Club including an on-site silent auction. The Sports MBA Association hopes contributions will allow additional youths to attend Victory Junction. “This is a great opportunity for our association to bring together the local business community,” said Sports MBA Association President, Kelly Hasen. “All our members have a keen interest in coordinating events and this is an excellent opportunity for us to use our skills to help others.”
With modest goals for the inaugural tournament, the Sports MBA Association has already received support from The Bray Law Firm and Harris Teeter. Interested businesses or golfers should contact Ryan Lohnes at 704-604-8340.
