Fundraising Ideas
- Letter campaign - Write a letter and send it to everyone you know, starting with your holiday card list. Not sure what to write? We can help!
- FanWalk - Sell bricks that will be engraved and placed in the Victory Junction FanWalk.
- Run to Victory – Have your Dream Team register for the Run to Victory event and ask others to sponsor every mile you each complete for the Run, including the miles you log while training and preparing for race day!
- Host a party at your home - Think dinner party, “Girls Night,” race watch, game night… use your imagination!
- Collect change – put a piggy bank on your desk and ask everyone to empty their pockets at the end of each day.
- Casual Dress Day – Determine if your office will allow employees to dress down one day a week in return for a donation to your team.
- Golf Tournament – Hold a golf tournament where the entry fee is donated to your team.
- Matching Gifts – Ask your employer to match your personal donation or your total fundraising amount. This is a quick and easy way to double your fundraising!
- Raffle or a Silent Auction– This can be held in conjunction with a dinner party or other event. Get items donated from local community businesses and friends and family members.
- Host a bake sale, book sale, or yard sale.
- Don't forget holidays! Sell roses on Valentine's Day or shamrock-shaped cookies on St. Patrick's Day. Ask for donations to your team in lieu of birthday or holiday gifts.
- Promote Victory Junction on paydays by stuffing a brochure or flyer in each paycheck envelope.
In 2008, 998 donors (individuals, organizations and corporations) raised $1.7 million dollars for Victory Junction through their amazing fundraising efforts! The money raised through fundraisers and events, large and small, has provided many life-changing camping experiences for deserving children and families. Want to know how YOU can get involved?
